Sherbond Lands On Mayfair!


Imagine you have landed on “Mayfair” on the Monopoly board - and instead of buying your first red hotel - you find 20 squatters, some serious West Ham supporters complete with hat and scarves, a number of vicious dogs, a couple of lorries and razor wire surrounding the site.

Not exactly the prestigious site we all know and love!

But these were the facts surrounding the execution of a recent Writ of Possession sent to Shergroup's Sherbond Specialist Enforcement Division. Forsters LLP instructed Sherbond to regain possession of the Mayfair site within 48 hours so they could start development of the land.

Sherbond Enforcement Officers served a Warning Notice confirming that the eviction would take place later in the day after the High Court Writ was issued. The occupiers seemed determined to stay but with their usual tact and diplomacy, Sherbond Enforcement Officers negotiated their departure, with a little help from the Met Police.

The site was returned to the owners - ready for development, and Forsters generously offered us a quote for our site of “Many thanks again for your swift response”.
